About our Pastor
Bro. Bobby was born in Rockwood, TN. on July 29th, 1950 to Ray and Alice Clark. He grew up in church, joining in 1960, and later taught Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible studies for a number of years. At 20 years old, he was a church member, a young man with Christian morals, but realized that he had never really been saved. On September 20th, 1970 he repented of his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.
While at church, in January, 1975, he met Miss Teresa Adkins. After seeking God's will, they were married that year on the 4th of July. The Clarks have been blessed with three wonderful children, Adam, Lacey and Ashley as well as six wonderful grandchildren, four boys and two girls.
During the latter part of 1975, Bro Bobby felt the call to preach and finally submitted to the Lord on February 11th, 1976. He was licensed that year by the Eagle Furnace Baptist Church in Rockwood. Having never received any formal Bible schooling, he began studying after some great men of the faith. That, and being under some godly men who walked with the Lord was exactly what the young preacher needed. On September 23rd, 1977 he was ordained to preach the Gospel by the Post Oak Baptist Church and pastored there more than three years. As time rolled by, he pastored two other area churches and served as the children's church pastor of another.
In 1985, he and Sis. Teresa felt the call of God to missionary work. In August they began deputation to serve in Great Britain. The Clarks were accepted as missionaries with Maranatha Baptist Missions on January 21st, 1987. They resigned from missions in March, 2002 and Bro. Bobby did itinerate preaching until February, 2003.
In early 2003, Faith Baptist called Bro. Bobby Clark to be their Pastor, and God has since blessed our church abundantly in growth and spirituality. He immediately gained everyone's love and trust and, constantly demonstrates that he has a pastor's heart and a genuine love for his people and visitors to our church. Bro. Bobby and the folks of Faith Baptist invite you to visit with us. You'll receive a warm welcome, and won't have to worry about worldly influences in any of our services. Please visit us and be a part of this growing ministry in Crossville.
